We all know vitamins and health go hand in hand, but how important are they? All vitamins are produced by plants and can enter your diet by eating these plants and by eating animal products which contain vitamins by way of the animals' consuming the plants concerned. Vitamins do not occur naturally in the body, but it can synthesize certain vitamins as a result of bacteria found in the body and derive them from the content of certain foods.
Why We Need Vitamins For Health
To prevent vitamin deficiencies we need to eat a varied balanced diet. This is especially important if for example you are a vegetarian, have intolerances to some foods, pregnant.....Below is a list of where you find some of these vitamins and there effects.Some vitamins are known as fat soluble and others as water soluble. The fat soluble ones linger longer in the body and being deficient in these will take longer to show up. The water soluble vitamins do not exist in the body and therefore deficiencies appear very quickly, and the body needs a regular daily supply.
