Lady Marie Stubbs (60ish) bio
I'm a former headmistress and author of "Ahead of the Class" which became a bestseller. It tells the true story of how a failing tough inner city comprehensive school was transformed. Julie Walters played me in the ITV drama-documentary of the same name. It was fun to meet her - she is delightful, friendly and looks very fit.
I've always enjoyed working with young people and am still involved with several charities and schools who try to make young peoples lives better. I spend a lot of time as a speaker on "Transformational Leadership" and can be contacted at

As well as all the activities of a busy family life with a husband, three children and eight grandchildren, I make it a priority to stay fit. I believe keeping fit and looking as you want to, and can, is of interest to many women of 40, 50, 60 and indeed 90! It is important for our health and well-being so that we can enjoy life to the full whoever we are and however we live.
